Starting over can be just impossible!!!! In our lives we all have things that need to change yet we seem unable to move from our comfort zone to the next level. Many of us have been in the same situation in different areas of our lives and we have begun to be confounded about the reality that often there has been no change in attitude and execution over a long period of time. as is my characteristic nature, I sat and thought about this long and hard only to realise that the problem is that we are all trying to do it on our own.

Sitting on the sofa reading it suddenly was reaffirmed in my heart that we are going about this the wrong way. We are trying to change. We are trying to do good. We are trying to be happy and make people happy. We are working so hard but nothing is working out; not work, not home life, not church…NOTHING. This was simply because we are not supposed to do any of these things on our own. We are children of the great healer, provider, lover, supporter, friend…the source of all we would ever need yet we keep failing and falling on our faces over and over again.

Suddenly, Papa spoke into my heart, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” Bombshell!!! Apart from Him we can do nothing…There are many things I have to let go of and allow Him to lead me and guide me. I needed to sit at his feet and learn to go about life one step at a time and reach to Him for direction on each and everything.

This is the way to get to the centre of His will and reach prosperity on his terms rather than on my terms. To become all he desires for me to be and then have the kind of impact he desires for me to have…WOW, I am back on the right path one step at a time every day.
